Our grantmaking focus.
Grantmaking is one piece of a broader strategy that also includes our own direct community programming. Through grants, we extend our mission by investing in organizations doing aligned work — supporting nonprofits and community organizations at the intersection of technology access, digital rights, and workforce equity.
We are particularly interested in organizations serving populations that have been historically underserved by technology — workers facing displacement, communities with limited digital access, and individuals navigating an increasingly automated world without adequate support.
Who can apply.
Mission alignment — Your work must advance AI literacy, digital privacy, digital rights, or equitable technology access.
Tax-exempt status — You must be a recognized 501(c)(3) organization or equivalent.
Organizational capacity — You have the ability to carry out the proposed activities and account for how grant funds are used.
Community focus — Your work primarily serves individuals and communities at risk of being left behind by technological change.
Our process.
We keep our process straightforward. All grant decisions require full board approval.
Send us a brief email introducing your organization, your mission, and the work you'd like us to consider funding. No formal application required at this stage.
We'll review your inquiry and follow up with questions. If there's alignment, we'll schedule a conversation to learn more about your work and the impact you're making.
Grant decisions are made by our full Board of Directors. We'll notify you of the outcome and, if funded, work with you on a simple grant agreement.
Any board member with an affiliation to a prospective grantee organization is required to disclose that relationship, recuse themselves from deliberation, and abstain from the vote. This is documented in our board minutes consistent with our Conflict of Interest Policy.
Send us an inquiry.
We're currently accepting grant inquiries. Email us a brief introduction and we'll be in touch within two weeks.
